What is the Xero Stripe integration?

Definition

The Xero Stripe integration is Xero's own app that lets customers pay Xero invoices by debit card, credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay through Stripe. Payments flow into Xero and are reconciled with one click. There is no setup or monthly fee; Stripe charges its card fees on each payment.

How the Xero Stripe integration works

Xero builds and owns the integration and lists it in the Xero App Store. After connecting a Stripe account, a pay-now button appears on Xero invoices, and Stripe payments, whether from a Xero invoice or an online store, flow into Xero as transaction data so each payment reconciles with one click. Xero lists no setup or monthly fee. For UK accounts, Stripe's fees on Xero's listing are 1.5% + 20p for standard UK cards and 2.5% + 20p for EU cards. The integration works in any country where Stripe is supported and the business has an active bank account.
