EisnerAmper Folds RSM Sage Intacct Team Into Technology Solutions

More than 35 RSM professionals will join EisnerAmper’s Technology Solutions practice in early 2027 in a deal with undisclosed financial terms.

EisnerAmper Folds RSM Sage Intacct Team Into Technology Solutions

EisnerAmper will take on the Sage Intacct consulting practice of RSM US early in 2027, bringing more than 35 RSM professionals into its Technology Solutions practice, the firms announced on November 4, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The move shifts a sizeable block of Sage Intacct expertise from one of the largest US accounting networks to a mid-sized rival that has built much of its growth by acquisition. For finance teams running or planning an ERP implementation on Intacct, it changes who will staff the project, support the system and build custom workflows and reports.

The EisnerAmper RSM Sage Intacct combination also shows how much consulting capacity now sits around one cloud financial platform. EisnerAmper, based in New York, reports $1.2 billion in revenue, 478 partners and more than 4,700 employees across 54 offices. The RSM team adds more than 35 people to a practice that already sells Intacct.

EisnerAmper RSM Sage Intacct deal: what moves

The announcement describes the RSM professionals joining EisnerAmper’s Technology Solutions practice, rather than a sale of RSM’s wider technology business. No price, client count or revenue figure for the Intacct practice was published.

That leaves several questions open. The firms have not said how many clients move with the team, whether RSM will continue to serve existing Intacct clients in any capacity, or whether the arrangement involves any payment between the two firms.

The timing is stated only as early 2027. Clients of the RSM Sage Intacct practice should expect their engagement teams to remain largely intact, since the people are the asset being transferred.

John Szuberla, the RSM principal who leads the Sage Intacct practice, framed the move as a way to build scale. He is one of two people quoted whose words are set out below.

“Joining together with EisnerAmper’s Sage Intacct practice will enable us to continue to grow, scale and deliver exceptional client experiences.”

John Szuberla, Principal and Leader of the Sage Intacct Practice, RSM US

Szuberla added that “the synergy between our two consulting practices will yield tremendous benefits for our clients.”

What the RSM Sage Intacct team does

The RSM team provides implementation, optimisation, custom workflows and reporting services around Sage Intacct. Its clients span nonprofit, real estate, healthcare, financial services and professional services.

RSM has built this work over several years. RSM US lists Sage Intacct services among its ERP offerings, and in 2025 it launched FamilySight, a family office product, on the Sage Intacct Marketplace.

Those sectors matter because Intacct is widely chosen by organisations that outgrow entry-level ledgers but do not want a heavyweight ERP. Buyers weighing it against larger systems can compare it with NetSuite or review Sage Intacct alternatives before committing to a partner.

Implementation partners are often the deciding factor. The quality of the data migration, the chart of accounts design and the reporting set-up usually determines whether a go-live holds up through its first close.

Sage backs the Intacct partner combination

Sage welcomed the deal. Nancy Sperry, Sage’s senior vice president of partner sales, said the expanded partnership “brings together deep industry knowledge and experience to help organizations solve real challenges and grow.”

She said bringing the team into EisnerAmper “creates even more opportunity to support our mutual customers and help them obtain greater value from Sage Intacct.” The statement points to customers shared by Sage and both firms, but gives no numbers.

EisnerAmper has worked with Sage for a long time. The firm says on its own site that it has been a Sage partner for more than 20 years, and it describes a dedicated Sage Intacct cloud accounting offering. Its current Intacct headcount and Sage partner tier were not part of the announcement.

Keith Denham, an EisnerAmper partner and the firm’s firmwide leader of advisory strategy and new markets, tied the deal to the product’s technology roadmap.

“Sage Intacct is a proven leader in cloud financial management and an absolute difference-maker, particularly with respect to its integrations with AI.”

Keith Denham, Partner and Firmwide Leader of Advisory Strategy/New Markets, EisnerAmper

Denham said he was “thrilled for this value-added combination” and wanted to “welcome the practice to the EisnerAmper family.”

EisnerAmper’s acquisition run continues

The Intacct team is the latest addition to a long list. EisnerAmper has completed more than 27 acquisitions since 2021, the year it became one of the first accounting firms to take private equity money.

In March 2026, the firm announced a continuation vehicle with its private equity investor, TowerBrook Capital Partners. This year it has also added Silicon Valley-based Sherwood Partners in June and KLG Business Valuators & Forensic Accountants in April. In March it acquired California-based Price Reuben, and in January it added the digital marketing and growth advisory firm MLCworks of Metairie, Louisiana.

Earlier deals include Prague & Co. and Bolotin Financial Group in 2025, and Tighe, Kress & Orr, Krost CPAs, Edelstein & Co. and the Tidwell Group in 2024. In 2023 it merged in Spielman Koenigsberg & Parker, Morrison & Morrison and Postlethwaite & Netterville. The 2022 list included Lindsay & Brownell, Hoffman Group, Lurie, Raich Ende Malter and Popper & Co.

Most of those were firm combinations. This one is different in kind, because EisnerAmper is taking a specialist team out of another firm rather than merging an entire practice.

What finance teams should check

Companies with RSM as their Sage Intacct partner should ask RSM and EisnerAmper how their contract and support arrangements will carry over in 2027. Questions worth raising include who holds the statement of work, how the named consultants are assigned and where customisations are documented.

Firms that offer client accounting services on Intacct should also watch how the combined team prices its work. A larger team can cover more industries, but it can also change pricing and response times.

The firms have also not said why RSM is stepping back from the practice, or whether RSM will continue any Intacct work elsewhere in its business. Those details would settle whether this is an exit or a refocus.

The next marker is the early 2027 start date, when the RSM professionals are due to begin work inside EisnerAmper’s Technology Solutions practice.
