Armanino Partners With Martus Solutions to Expand FP&A Offering

Armanino will sell Martus budgeting software and implementation directly, adding a mid-market option to its FP&A lineup.

Armanino Partners With Martus Solutions to Expand FP&A Offering

Top 25 US accounting firm Armanino announced on October 26, 2026 that it has added Martus Solutions to its FP&A technology partners, so clients can buy the budgeting software and its implementation directly from the firm.

Martus is a cloud-based budgeting and financial planning product built for mid-market organisations. It is a software vendor, not a consultancy, and it does not build its offer around Workday Adaptive Planning or Anaplan. It competes with them for a different kind of buyer.

The deal gives Armanino clients a single point of contact for the software and the advisory work needed to put it to use. Financial terms were not disclosed, and neither company has said whether money changes hands between them on referrals or resales.

What the new FP&A technology partners deal covers

Under the agreement, Armanino sells Martus licences and related implementation services. A client that chooses the product deals with one firm for both, rather than contracting separately with a vendor and a consultancy.

Martus provides budgeting, forecasting, reporting and personnel planning in one system. It connects to the ERP and accounting platforms many Armanino clients already run: Sage Intacct, NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The Sage Intacct link is bidirectional, moving budget and actuals data between the two systems without manual uploads.

Megan Manrique, senior director and technology practice lead at Armanino, described the client it is aimed at. “So many of our mid-market clients are caught between spreadsheets they’ve outgrown,” she said on October 26.

Manrique added that the partnership “allows us to better match our technology offerings to where a client is in their growth journey.”

Who Martus serves among mid-market finance teams

The target is a finance team that has outgrown spreadsheet budgeting and forecasting but does not need the cost and complexity of an enterprise planning platform. That group is large. It covers companies that have passed the stage where one analyst can hold the budget in a workbook, but where a dedicated planning team is not yet justified.

Martus has been growing in that segment. The company said in a January 22, 2026 announcement of its 2025 results that it serves more than 1,300 mission-focused organisations and businesses worldwide. Annual recurring revenue rose 44% in 2025, total customers grew 38% net, and new customer acquisition rose 64%.

Martus also added 45 partners and resellers in 2025, and partner-sourced deals grew 90%. Armanino joins a channel that is already carrying much of the company’s sales growth.

Taylor Macdonald, chief executive of Martus Solutions, said the software is only part of the answer. “Technology is only part of successful financial planning and analysis,” he said.

Where it sits among Armanino’s FP&A technology partners

Armanino’s FP&A practice covers two models. Its specialists can work inside a client’s finance team, or they can build the finance infrastructure and train staff to run it. Selecting and implementing planning software is part of both.

The firm has also advertised consulting roles for Pigment and Workday Adaptive Planning, which indicates where its delivery capacity sits today. Those platforms, with Anaplan, generally serve larger or more complex planning needs, and buyers weighing them can compare options through Accountio’s Anaplan alternatives page.

Martus fills the layer below. A client moving off spreadsheets can now be offered a mid-market product, while a group with multi-entity consolidation, heavy driver-based modelling or thousands of planning users can still be steered to an enterprise tool.

Armanino describes the selection test in three parts: the client’s size, its needs and its existing systems. The existing-systems test matters most in practice. A company running Sage Intacct or Business Central will weigh native integrations first, and Martus covers both.

Why FP&A technology partners matter for the budget

For a finance director, the practical change is in procurement. Buying software and implementation from one firm shortens the vendor list and gives a single party accountable when a rollout slips. It can also tie the advisory fee to the product choice, so buyers should ask any firm how it is paid by the vendors it recommends.

Armanino has not published pricing for the Martus offer or any referral arrangement with its technology partners. Clients should ask for both in writing before signing, as they would with any reseller.

The product choice also feeds the rest of the finance stack. A planning tool is only as useful as the actuals behind it, which is why the CFO technology stack now starts with the ledger and its integrations. Planning also connects to the close, since budget-versus-actual reporting depends on how quickly month-end close software delivers final numbers.

The people side is changing too. Roles in financial planning and analysis are moving from assembling spreadsheets to managing models and scenarios, which is the work a tool like Martus is meant to support.

The competition for mid-market FP&A work

Armanino is not the first accounting firm to resell Martus. Other advisory firms already implement the product, so the partnership does not give Armanino exclusive access. What it gives is a version of the product inside the firm’s own sales and delivery process.

The move also fits the firm’s recent pattern of building out technology capability through purchases and alliances. Armanino acquired the NetSuite optimisation firm AppWrap in August 2026, and an AppWrap co-chief executive said the deal would take the combined firm deeper into FP&A. On September 28 it added the human capital and workforce management firm Sability.

Martus’s personnel planning module overlaps with Sability’s territory. Headcount is the largest line in most mid-market budgets, and a firm that can implement both the workforce system and the planning tool can connect the two.

Firms advising clients on AI agent governance for finance teams will also find planning platforms moving quickly towards automated forecasting. Martus said in its January release that AI-driven product development was a focus for 2026.

What to watch after the Martus announcement

The first test is whether Armanino publishes pricing, implementation timelines or client examples for Martus, none of which accompanied the October 26 announcement. The second is how the firm divides new engagements between Martus and its enterprise platforms as mid-market clients grow. Armanino has not said when the first Martus implementations through the firm will go live.
