Emburse combines several expense companies. The investor K1 bought Nexonia in 2015; Tallie, Certify, Abacus, Captio and Chrome River joined between 2017 and 2019, along with the card start-up Emburse, whose name the group took in 2020. It bought TRIPBAM in 2023.
