Why it matters

Coupa runs procurement, invoice processing and payments for 55% of the Fortune 500, which makes it the incumbent that Zip and the AI-native procurement and AP startups are selling against. Its 2026 purchases of Rossum and Tonkean, the move to outcome-based pricing for AI agents and an interim CEO since August 2026 all bear on renewal and roadmap decisions for finance teams on the platform.
